Stamping is the application of a relief image on the material with use of pressure.
Depending on the strength of the pressure and the density of the material there is flat and convex stamping, on the process temperature we define cold and hot stamping, the use of a special matrix allows to make volumetric objects of convex shape (relief stamping or stamping). In addition it is possible to carry out stamping without applying an image (blind or blind embossing), or using a special film (foil) to obtain a color impression (foil embossing).
In all cases it is required to make a cliché for the stamping. Its shape and properties depend on the chosen stamping method. The process itself is carried out with the help of the press.
